Our story
We spent close to a decade at Instacart watching operations teams do heroic, repetitive work - logging into portals, re-keying data, chasing down statuses across systems that were never meant to talk to each other.
The work was essential. It was also a grind that no amount of software seemed to fix, because the real process lived in people's heads and a hundred browser tabs.
The old answers didn't hold up. RPA broke every time a portal changed. BPOs just moved the cost around. And the work was too messy, too human, for the rigid automation tools on the market.
Then the models got good enough to actually use a browser, read a document, and make a phone call the way a person does. So we left to build the thing we wished we'd had: an operations platform that runs the work, adapts when systems change, and keeps a human in the loop where judgment matters.
Today Champ runs production workflows for telehealth providers, PEOs, and logistics teams - the companies whose growth used to be capped by how fast they could hire.
